A mostly rural road, now passing through a golf course for a portion of its length. Speed limit was reduced from 55 to 35 on the road when the golf course was built. The state patrol is frequently present in single or multiple cars because they know the road is used almost exclusively by long-term local residents used to the old 55 mph limit, so about everybody exceeds the posted limit and there’s very little chance of them running into a real criminal there. The Bryan County Sheriff’s Dept. occasionally monitors speed but does not hide their patrol cars like the state patrol does.
