The school zone for Manse is clearly marked with blinking lights and signs. The zone then is clearly marked "End of School Zone" Then a few feet later a small school sign is posted for a small private school...no blinking lights with the sign. It feels like a trick to the driver if you don't realize the tiny private school is there when it just said End of School Zone. Is the law supposed to be this tricky?

As of 2018 the Manse school had been closed for several years. The school zone exists in name only so that it can be operated as a speed trap. I got a $200 fine for driving through it at 20 mph.

I was also victimized by the speed trap on Wilson road for going 20 mph in a phony 15 mph school zone. It was partially my fault for being complacent and not turning on my radar detector for a short trip from the library to Walmart. This was a mistake I will never make again. I used to be a supporter of law enforcement, but after this dirty trick I have lost all respect and now consider them enemy predators and avoid them as much as possible.
