York St. AND Long Sands Rd.

York, MaineApr 17, 20101 Comments

Not only do the cops patrol for speed,
this is one of the very few areas
patrolled for Y-I-E-L-D signs.

You’ve got to watch not only this intersection
but also further back, GETTING onto York Rd.
from Rte. 1 northbound.

As you’re entering York St.
a cop is sometimes parked across the street,
straight ahead of you.

York St. is 25 mph.

Comments:
I have never seen police where York St. and Long Sands Rd. intersect. Traffic is always slow there because of the complicated intersection with the monument in the middle. I assume you mean York St. where you wrote York Rd? I have seen police watching traffic in the school zones on York St and on Ridge Rd.
