Arlington, Tennessee Speed Traps
Milton Wilson Road near In neighborhood near Arlington High
Sheriff’s deputies hide in subdivision enterance just past Arlington High during the hours immediately following the let out of school.
W. Division Street near Lamplighter Street
Officer parks just inside the entrance to the mobile home park on the north side of Division. You tend to pick up just a little speed as you come down the hill. It’s easy to do and you get down the hill and ZAP! there he is! Too late! I’m very conscious now every time I head west on Division.
Milton Wilson Road near Milton Ridge Road
Road between Memphis-Arlington and Airline Road. The Sheriff patrol is usually between the new Arlington High School and Arlington Developmental Center. This trap was located in the entrance of Summer Meadows subdivision. Be very cautious as TWO sheriff officers clock those coming in both directions. The speed limit is 30! This is very misleading due to speed limits of 40 and 45 on adjacent roads.
They do not give warnings, and often are seen on the corner looking into cars for seat belts. Be careful as the car is parked within the subdivision, and is hidden.
Needless to say I received a ticket for going 45 in a 30 zone.
Hope this saves you the burden of a ridiculous ticket. Good luck.
