Belle Meade, Tennessee Speed Traps

I say in front of their club, but everywhere would be more realistic. They are often in driveways, behind trees, in private property, etc… When driving through Belle Meade it isn’t uncommon to see 4 or 5 speed traps. Realize that speeding tickets are their main source of income, so they’ll get you for being 1-2 over the limit. The only way to avoid a Belle Meade speeding ticket is to go about 5 miles per hour under the limit.

Belle meade is pretty small — but its police department is huge. The town is full of rich snobs – and the city wide speed limit is 30 — except for a 4 lane road that is 40. They WILL and DO ticket at 1 or 2 mph over!
