Needmore Rd south at the bottom of the long steep hill

Clarksville, TennesseeMar 16, 20141 Comments

Heading south on Needmore Rd from Tiny Town Rd you pass the speedway and firestation and go down a long steep hill where it is impossible not to exceed the speed limit of 45mph unless you ride your brakes all the way. The city cop hides in a pull-off that gives a farmer access to his field on the left side of the road. Most motorists will get caught here because there is nothing at the bottom of this hill that would make it important to slow down.

Warfield Blvd (Hwy 374) eastbound at Wilma Rudolph Blvd

Clarksville, TennesseeDec 30, 20120 Comments

Immediately beyond the Gander Memorial Bridge double overpasses over Wilma Rudolph Blvd, the double traffic lanes merge to form a 3 lane road. There is quite a bit of cross-hatched pavement in the median where the road narrows, hidden from view on the bridge by the crest of a small hill. Clarksville P.D. and Montgomery County Sheriff deputies park facing the bridge to get unsuspecting drivers who are looking for merging traffic from an onramp to the right. Oftentimes they use pop radar, so beware. CLUE: when crossing the bridge, look for brake lights on the cars ahead, when they see the cop and try (too late) to slow.
