State Highway 79 near Dollar General Store

Dover, TennesseeJan 15, 20070 Comments

The several mile stretch of Hwy. 79 anywhere between town and the Dollar General store at the LBL turnoff is a bad spot. Its a wide 4 lane road and average safe speeds can easily be 55, but its posted 45. City and State Patrol cars sit off the road in the shadows of the tall pine trees and are hard to see. They use Instant ON radar. Also, at nite, they sit without any lites on!

State Highway 232 near State Route 79

Dover, TennesseeMay 08, 20050 Comments

Highway 232 is a long and twistie road. The speed limit used to be 55mph, but there were a few accidents and they knocked it down to 35mph. The TN. State Troopers stay on this road and patrol it all day long, esepecialy on the weekends. There is only one good staight on this road and they will sit off on a dirt road and stand behind trees and flag you over at the end of the staight.
