Coming down the mountain on I26 West

Erwin, TennesseeJun 19, 20140 Comments

Got a speeding ticket at 10pm coming down a very steep slope on one of the last mountains before they ended. I believe its bad enough to ticket someone going down a mountain who will be gaining speed anyways and if you checked them 30 seconds later would be doing under the limit! But I also thought it was odd there was a cruiser on side of road with light off and so I got over in fast lane as per the law when officers on side of road and as I went around a curb and got back in the slow lane, I noticed another cruiser with lights off and I didn’t have the time at that point to even get over because I had just come around a curve. So I passed him in the slow lane and sure enough he turns his lights on and pulls me over. I was already mad about the ticket but when I called and got the fine cost, I’m livid. $226!!! I actually travel work a lot and was in Washington DC talking to someone about where I lived and they mentioned getting TWO speeding tickets in this same area when they have had to travel through. Just drove to Atlanta this week and I seen the cruisers sitting on side of road in the traffic coming the other way, and yeah they were near the bottom of a hill!

Rock Creek Rd. Church parking lot

Later in the evenings, A cop will typically sit in the parking lot of a church just off of Rock Creek Rd., just before a trailer park. I’ve Watched him pull many people over, so avoid speeding on Rock Creek Rd., as its VERY easy to hit 45-50 MPH when the speed limit is 30 MPH
