Franklin, Tennessee Speed Traps

Two places, although this road is a prime target for speed traps in the places where the speed limit is 30MPH. Upon turning onto this road heading west, you will pass a McDonalds and a Captain D’s. Right after this there is a road on the right…just after this is a grassy area that is unlit where they hide. Also the other day an officer was parked just down the road from this around the corner sitting in the SHELL STATION PARKING LOT. This can’t be seen until the last minute, and this particular business is about to be boycotted BIG time.

The city of Franklin police set up a radar trap on the southern edge of the city on Hwy 431 each Sunday as people are returning from church or going to lunch. You will be going north on Hwy 431 and down a hill when the spees limit drops to 30 or 35 mph and that is where they get you.

City has passed a law that no U-turns allowed within its limits, but have no signs posted about this. Although the Judge agreed with me, since I was out of state, I still paid a small fine ($10.00) and $60.00 court cost. Avoid this locale, since I have no idea what other silly laws they have that are unmarked.
