Poplar Avenue near State Highway 72
One of the toughest places I’ve ever seen on having speed traps.
Poplar Avenue near Rowan Lane
Poplar/Rowan is an intersection that is under construction just west of Riverdale Rd. The 40 mph speed limit signs have been taken away, and large highway info light signs now show the speed limit to be 30 mph through that construction zone. The speed is in effect whether workers are present or not. The city prosecutor is upholding the speed limit despite the fact workers may not be present.
Wolf Creek Boulevard near Germantown Road
This road is a cut through that goes east of Germantown Road and turns into Kimbrough. It winds and turns from offices and medical bldgs. into condo and residential homes. THe speed limit is I about 35 MPH and the police like to catch people commuting from Germantown road which is a faster speed into the slower Kimbrough’Wolf Creek. They hide in the drives of the condos and apartments along this stretch of Kimbrough that leads to Farmingtown and Poplar.
S. Germantown Road near Neshoba Road
Germantown Police cars are most commonly hidden in trees on east side of the road, however, they also sit on the side streets. It’s easy to speed thru here and they will stop you for as little as 4 miles over the speed limit.
