Henderson, Tennessee Speed Traps

Heading north on 45(from south of town), you come to the first light on 45 in Henderson. This is Church Ave. If you turn right here (no left), do NOT exceed 30 mph! There are a few businesses on the right side of the road, about a half a mile down the road, is Bill’s BBQ on the right. Many Henderson cops sit in the parking lot adjacent (north) off Bills. This same spot also provides them a good location for people heading south on Church Ave. They can clock you as you are in the curve just south of the new overpass. They are sitting on private property. They will also tell you that the city (Henderson, TN)wont send your ticket to the state unless the state requests it… LIE!

Heading South on South Church Ave from Main St, Do NOT exceed 30 MPH! Approx 3/4 mile down the road, just past Eric Bell Dr., on the left is an old abandoned building with one of those arrow marquee signs with nothing on it. The cops will hide behind either side of this sign and clock vehicles. You can see this sign on Google maps street view. It has been there for years!

Just North of the Ford Dealership is Youth Camp Road. The City cops will sit in the paved area that crosses the median so that traffic can turn on and off Youth Camp Rd. This location is up a long steady hill that allows the cops to clock southbound vehicles from a great distance with radar. As you are heading south on 45 into town from the north, You will see a BP gas station on the right. Make sure you are running 55 or less! This is called Magic Valley, this whole area is a speed trap! (There are three within 1 mile!)

The city cops sit in the parking lot of the Radio Shack that is situated on an access road (NOT Hwy 45), and they have a good bead on Northbound and Southbound traffic. They are FAR off the roadway , over 100 feet! HARD to see them! 55MPH!
Just north of White Ave. Immediately south of Moss Miller Car Lot. East side of 45.

Just east of this intersection (on Old Jackson Road) is a small gravel spot on the south side of the road. The city cops sit here and get excellent range on speeders (on 45 in both directions) from here. 55 MPH! I have seen them chase speeders all the way to Walmart in South Jackson! They also setup sobriety checkpoints here, in the cross over. They will run warrants on everyone that passes through (even passengers) while they do this… WITH T.H.P.!
