SR63 Towards LaFollette

Jacksboro, TennesseeJun 26, 20110 Comments

The first 5 to 10 miles east of I-75 are notorious for stationary radar, but TN Highway Patrol will get you with moving radar moving either direction if you have an import, out of state plates or look like an LMU Student, until SR63 ends in Harrogate. Moving radar is always off by 5 mph, so you’re bound to get a ticket unless you’re pushing your car if they feel like catching you. From 75 through Jacksboro, it dives almost immediately to 25mph then not above 30mph for most of it.

The entire SR 63 between 75 in Jacksboro and 24 in Harrogate is full of speed traps where the road curves and they can hide. One or more moving TN HP cars are also ticketing any moving car they want because it’s mostly "rich" LMU students coming through that won’t fight the ticket so if you have an import, out of state plates or look like an LMU Student, be very careful.

I have never gotten a ticket myself, but I live here and know most of their hiding spots and keep it slow anyway due to this, but this area stay’s covered up with them having car’s pulled over and ticket’s being written to them.Stay slow in this area,it’s that bad !
