Murfreesboro, Tennessee Speed Traps
Rutherford Boulevard near Halls Hill Turnpike
They sit on a side street and watch you come over a slight hill right next to MTSU. By the time you see them, they’ve already caught you. Speed limit if 40 mph. They are there about 2 out of the 5 business day mornings. There are usually 2 to 3 police officers standing at the side of the road pointing their radars. They will not hesitate to walk in front of you, and make you stop your car.
River Rock Boulevard near Old Fort Parkway
The posted limit is 30. And from sycamore, to cason lane, there is a turn that has a cop USUALLY (almost always) waiting there with her gun. She got my sister twice, my mom 3 or 4 times, and my dad a LOT
Bridge Avenue near State Highway 96 @ Red Lobster
The cruisers like to sit in the parking lot behind Hobby Lobby. Since the speed limit has been raised to 40mph, this road is a little more forgiving, but they still like this spot.
East Main Street near Apollo Drive
Row of very large pine trees help to block the view of the oncoming traffic. Radar in the early morning hours but are subject to be there anytime.
Manson Pike Road near Interstate 24
Cops patrol all along Manson Pike/Medical Center Parkway between I-24 and Thompson Lane. Posted speed limit is 40. The road is a new, wide, 4-lane exit off of I-24 (Exit 76)and a very easy one to exceed the speed limit on. At night, I have seen as many as 4 police cruisers at one time with cars pulled over. This stretch is strictly enforced and anyone going 45 or more is fair game.
