Medical Center Parkway near Cellphone tower over railroad bridge between Broad and Thompson.

Murfreesboro, TennesseeMay 27, 20060 Comments

At least every other week (during good weather conditions), they will hide either a patrol vehicle behind trees or have 2-4 motorcycle cops standing there with their radar gun as you go over the railroad bridge. It isn’t difficult to be doing over 50 after going over the bridge, which the safe speed is 45, but the posted limit is 40. I have seen them bust people for doing 45, and they will stand in the middle of the street and directing you to stop in the center lane. Side note: I once did 33 passing them (I was in the lane closest to where they stood)… they shot their radar gun at me and shook their head, but I didn’t feel like running over cops.

Old Nashville Hwy Road near 840 Bypass

Murfreesboro, TennesseeFeb 04, 20060 Comments

There are various areas between Florence road and broad st where cops tend to hide on old Nashville Hwy mostly dead end acess roads. Speed limit varies from 30/40. Should be 45-55. I have followed cars before going 55-60 as it is very tempting to speed through there.

Middle Tennessee use to be south tennessee Boulevard near between e main and bell st. where the church is.

At the bell st light. Officers park their cars in the church parking lot which blocks the view of the car because it is an L shaped building. The short light causes a lot yellow runners and as you come through the light they pull you over. the speed limit drops to 30.

Going down Rutherford Boulevard from the Greenland Drive red light towards Highway 96, as soon as you go through the stop light that leads into MTSU there is a street on your right as soon as you come over the hill. Police officers park their cars and motorcycles there and wave speeders into this side street. The posted speed limit is either 40 or 45.

I-24 South of Nashville through Rutherford County

Murfreesboro, TennesseeOct 04, 20033 Comments

There are more tickets written in Rutherford County than any other county in the state. The posted speed limit is 70 mph, however it is a straight and well-maintained road, and everyone easily travels 80, 85, 90 and some faster.
