Briley Parkway near Murfreesboro Road

Nashville, TennesseeNov 05, 20070 Comments

Going east on Briley Pkwy there is a curve just before the off ramp to Murfreesboro Rd. Watch the traffic ahead for lots of brake lights coming on. That is a sure sign that there will be several police motorcycles and/or cars there at the off ramp. The speed limit is not extremely unreasonable (45mph) but seldom held to on this semi-interstate type of road.

8th/Rosa Parks Avenue near Jefferson Street

Nashville, TennesseeOct 17, 20070 Comments

2 or 3 metro police officers sit at the corner of 8th Ave and Harrison (U S Smokeless Tobacco plant) across from the Farmers Mkt. They park and hide their cars out of sight. They point the radar in the direction of oncoming traffic in the direction of Jefferson St. They stand in the road and wave cars to pull over. I watch it from my office building for several hours.

Davidson Drive near Interstate I-40

Nashville, TennesseeOct 12, 20070 Comments

The Officers set up under the I-40 overpass, hiding in the bend of the road, and catch speeders as the approach Brookmeade Elementary. The speed limit is 35 dropping to 15 in the school zone. Davidson Drive leads in and out of the West Meade neighborhod. They just step out into the road and point you over.

Harding Road near Belle Meade Boulevard

Nashville, TennesseeOct 05, 20070 Comments

Traveling East or West on Harding Road, from Woodmont Lane/White Bridge Road out to Harding Place, this route travels right past the Belle Meade Police station. The speed limit is 40, but very easy to go higher than that on this straight stretch.

Brush Hill Road near Cedarwood Drive

Nashville, TennesseeSep 27, 20070 Comments

At bend in road between Winding Way and Cedarwood Drive in an access strip of road that connects two driveways to Brush Hill. If you drive South on Brush Hill the cop has clear view for blocks before you can see him or her.
