Nolensville Road

The entire town of Nolensville is a speed trap and I wouldn’t even suggest thinking of going a mile over the speed limit here. As you approach the town, the speed limit drops from 55 to 45 to 40 to 30, and you better adhere or you’ll get written. I’ve never been through the town where I didn’t see someone being ticketed. The town is growing to fast and needs the additional income.

Nolensville Park

The speed limit next to the baseball/softball/football park is a rousing TWENTY FIVE miles an hour. As if that isn’t bad enough, early in the mornings and late at night the popo hide in the parking lot or behind the shed beyond the outfield fence with their radar wide open.

More or less, the entire town is a speed trap, as small as it is with a brand new multi-million dollar city hall and brand new squad cars as well. So someone’s gotta pay for all that…

York Road

York Road is a cut through from Rocky Fork Road to get to Clovercroft Road which is a route that many in Rutherford County take to Cool Springs. Nolensville cops situate themselves in three locations along this 2.5 mile stretch of two-lane road. The first is at the top of the main hill. About half way to Nolensville Road. They’ll be sitting on the left behind shrubs/trees in an overgrown dirt driveway. The second is along the straightaway as you come down the hill and round the bend. They will be sitting on the right on a small right of way. The third is at the church parking lot at the intersection of Nolensville and York. It doesn’t matter which way you come. If you are over the 35 mile speed limit they will get you as there is little traffic on the road and they have no incentive to wait for someone speeding faster than you. Also one of the cops lives on the road in a small house. You will frequently see his cop car parked in his drive. Like many small towns it seems being picky about speeding is a good source of revenue for this town. Go easy.
