IH-35 and William Cannon

Cops hiding in shopping centers to look for motorists running the lights at this intersection. Expect to get a ticket for anything and everything. He gave me a running stop light ticket and put my alleged speed as 41 just because the speed limit is 40. I was going anywhere from 25-30mph!

Oltorf St. & Pleasant Valley & Oltorf at top of the hill (3 way stop sign)

Austin, TexasFeb 01, 20010 Comments

The stop signs on Oltorf at Pleasant Valley and at the three way stop sign, i.e. Diamond Shamrock and Wan-Fu. SERIOUSLY, COME TO A COMPLETE STOP! Also don’t go speeding down the hill going towards Oltorf and Pleasant Valley intersection. They will get you.

MLK and Chestnut

School zone. Normally 35 MPH, it is 20 MPH at times school is about to start or lets out (about 7:30-8 AM and 2:30-3 PM). Motorcycle cops usually hide at the intersection just east of Chestnut and MLK, right after the school zone line.

I-35 north and south bound from Yeager Ln to Wells Branch

Austin, TexasFeb 01, 20010 Comments

Police Station just down Parmer so the cops love to lay in wait at the Parmer on ramp north bound and the south bound off ramp or under Howard Ln overpass. Today there was a Police SUV south bound on the side of I-35, lights flashing with the officer standing so that he could not be seen until your car passed his. He was pointing his radar at cars headed away from him, so there were others laying in wait further in toward Austin.

Riverside Drive just west of I-35 intersection

Austin, TexasFeb 01, 20010 Comments

On the winding, scenic part of Riverside Drive between Congress and I-35, ther are motorcycle police waiting to give you a ticket for going over the speed limit, 30-35 MPH. They are generally right around the parking lot of Landry’s Seafood. It is tempting to drive like a race car driver on the windy parts, but DON’T DO IT!
