Coppell, Texas Speed Traps
Sam Rayburn Tollway 121 West of Denton Tap Rd.
Coppell police sit on the shoulder of the 121 tollway and wait to pull people over either on the tollway or on the service road. A relative of mine got pulled over from the service road while going with the flow of traffic and accelerating to get on the tollway. That’s right, accelerating to get on the highway nevermind other vehicles were going faster than I was…
Beltline road west of Denton Tap Road.
Beltline Road is 50 mph from I35 to Denton Tap road, (approx. 6 miles), then just west of the intersection drops to 30 mph for .4 of a mile before going back up. There is nothing but a pasture on the south side of the road and only a handful of old businesses on the north side. Motorcycle Police hide in a driveway and radar. It is a classic speed trap. I will not shop or go to eat in the city of Coppell again.
I 635 driving thru Coppell
East and westbound traffic through Coppell. Starts at après George Bush tollway all the way to Royal. Usually under overpasses. Everday you see someone pulled over. They have cars, SUVs and honda motorcycles. Careful.
Moore Road and Beltline Road
The speed limit chnages from 50 to 30 at the intersection. I got ticket for 35 on 30 ….. City of Coppell is also called COP HELL. There is absolutely no tolerance since this is the major revenue source for the city.
Westbound I-635 freeport pkwy + next 1.5 miles west
White SUV. The stampede has created a distinct track in the median, where the relatively large separation between west and eastbound lanes have been traversed. The make your own U-turn track can best be seen from eastbound direction, before bridge deck over rail road, and over Wall St. Sofar only westbound stopped cars observed.
