intersection of Park Lane and Greenville Ave.

Be aware of the DPD traffic units in this area. One unit is every bold and daring because be sits in the corner or the intersection right in front of Eckards by the light pole. Several units including motorcycle units tend to sit in the parking lot of the old post office right along the fenceline where you can’t see him until it is too late, several use the Sam’s parking lot, and also be aware of the one’s using the old and new Park Lane stations as trap spots.

Skillman between Lovers and Mockingbird

Dallas, TexasJan 03, 20030 Comments

If you are southbound, as you approach the DART rail bridge between Lover’s Lane and Mockingbird the speed limit drops from 40 to 35 right as you go down a hill to go under the RR bridge. The police will be on the first sidestreet to your right (West), usually dismounted shooting radar and then waiving you onto the side street… vicious! They’ve been doing it for years.

I20- Dallas to Longview

Dallas, TexasNov 28, 20020 Comments

IF your heading out to Longview from Dallas traveling on I20 watch out Terrell city, Canton, and Smith County and Mile Marker 582->583. There are many state troopers along I20 esp. between Dallas and Longview. Best of Luck!

Matilda St. between Monticello and Mockingbird

Dallas, TexasNov 27, 20020 Comments

There are 2 school zones within this area, and the police will make sure that even if you are going only 5 mph over, they will ticket you. They are usually lurking either in an alleyway or just off a side street, so they can really catch you if you are not paying attention.

Samuel Blvd. and St. Charles

Dallas, TexasNov 06, 20020 Comments

A motorcycle cop sits at the stop sign where St. Charles connects to Samuel. He almost always is directing his radar to the East, but has known to turn it West on occasion. I have this listed as AM Rush Hour but he’s been known to remain there till the school zones start up at 02:45. This little stretch of road is also home to a LOT of beerstores. Be wary of that morning beer run!
