Dallas, Texas Speed Traps
Highways
Please be aware that Police are now using the Spectre radar detector detector which will detect any make or brand of radar detector with great ease. Many truckers are being detected with a radar detector. See www.spectre-rdd.com and www.speedzones.com The radar detector manufacturers do not have an answer to this RDD for the last couple of years. Gaston Road btn Abrams and Garland Road
On the bottom of the hill just past Lakewood Country Club, EVERY Saturday afternoon from 12-4, there are at least 2 motorcycle cops clocking people as they come over the hill. The posted limit is 35 and they are not very forgiving for even a few (3-5) mph over the limit. They will jump out into traffic and point you to pull over on the side street. I live right there and watch every single Saturday afternoon, so be careful
NW Highway and Lemmon/ marsh
On the east side of the lemmon/nw highway intersection there is a cop, usually at nite, sitting on the median measuring speed, he usually used Ka band and is facing east bound.
Hampton Road (between Fort Worth Ave. and Singleton Blvd.)
There are two constable cars and two mortorcycle vehicles that sit in an empty lot not viewable buy any motorists coming down the hill. Once you come over the very steep hill going anything above 39, you’re busted!!! And if you continue to go without stopping for the constable, who is standing attempting to flag you down, then the motorcycles will come hunt you down!
S. Airfield Dr.
D/FW Airport Police on motorcycles hide off the side of the road on S. Airfield Dr., just West of International Prky., in front of 2 large water towers all day long. No one ever notices them, but they see everyone. Speed limit is 45, but with little traffic everyone seems to speed. No matter what the excuse, your not getting off from a D/FW Airport ticket.
