Dallas, Texas Speed Traps
Traveling south down Buckner Blvd. from Northwest Highway
Traveling south down Buckner Blvd. toward Garland Road. Speed limit is 40 mph and posted. Saw a large white truck coming up behind me with lights on the top, but thought it was a construction truck because of the construction of a new bridge on NW Hwy. In it were two Dallas police officers…they turned on their lights and stopped me. Thankfully, they just gave me a warning, but I have never seen a truck like this…seems to be unmarked. Beware!
Cole Ave and Hall
Every day for the last 2 weeks an officer is sitting out waiting to bust people for rolling through the stop sign
I-75/Central Expwy access roads, both east & west sides
East Dallas drivers beware! This is a relatively new trap – they will not be there every week, but if you drive here regularly, you’ll encounter them. With a posted limit of just 35 coming off or on a busy freeway, it is easy to accidentally speed. Sometimes it’s a motorcycle cop on foot, hard to spot. Even a relatively minor ticket here will cost you $200 or more.
Northwest Hwy Westbound between Midway and Marsh
Motorcycle officers stand on the side streets and walk out into traffic to stop you. They look like people at the bus stop.
I-45 between I-20 and S. Lamar St. both directions
Dallas County Sheriffs Office routinely set up radar on both sides of the highway. Often they will sit under the Loop 12 overpass.
