Denton, Texas Speed Traps
Multiple units wait in business parking lot or just past the Ft Worth Dr. overpass monitoring NW bound traffic between exits 465b and 466a,
Denton police like to sit between Elm Street and I-35 on Fort Worth Dr., especially in the dark mornings. But, they will also be there during afternoon rush hours. Limit is 35mph, so watch your speed!
One of Denton Police Depts favorite spots is going down the hill northbound on Colorado (just down from the mall). They will sit in the parking lot of the apartment complex and catch you coming down the hill.
Headed north from Teasley toward Eagle, there is a motorcycle cop near the Auto Zone, nabbing people right before the underpass.
Usually between four and eight different police officer vehicles. Usually happens at least once a week, sometimes twice a week. Most commonly happens from about 7:15am-11am. A lot of times they will have undercover police officers standing around looking like they are trying to cross the street, but they radio in speeders, seatbelt violators and inspection/registration expirations to officers in vehicles, and sometimes on motorcycles. Last week there were six police cars and two motorcycle cops busting people. Normally when you drive by there will be at least four people pulled over at a time.
