FM2499 x FM3040 + 0.1 miles south (Chickfila)

Flower Mound, TexasFeb 04, 20130 Comments

Observed 10:30am some 0.1 miles south from intersection of Long Prairie Rd (FM2490) x Flower Mound Rd (FM3040). Black charger drives 2499 northbound, and then parks in last turning left lane for strip mall before large intersection. Landmarks for 2499 southbound are Tom Thumb grocery store on left and MacDonald and Chick-fil-A restaurants on right hand. Speed and red light. The 2499 south is long uphill and last part before apex flattens out. Road curvature hides bottom part of vehicle in turning lane. You will see windshield and roof of a low profile muscle car. Not turning when having chance. Lights off.

Crosstimbers and Morris

Flower Mound, TexasSep 18, 20120 Comments

The cops sit in the median. They show no descretion and are obviously tasked with raising revenue for city coffers. Flower Mound has a six person traffic section with a sergent. Few other cities this size have such a traffic enforcement program. A disproportionate share of the city budget comes from police traffic fines. This is one reason that business develop is a problem is the police state in Flower Mound.

Morris and SR3040

Flower Mound, TexasJun 02, 20121 Comments

They stand behind the trees of the north bound lane of Morris where you approach 3040 as you coast down the hill. They black cars are really creepy and have to be very hot and a monumental waste of fuel to keep cool. The FMPD is particularity active around the last part of the month they set up speed traps to meet their quota. These guys and ladies don’t have enough to do and we are over paying them to run their speed traps.

1171, west of Lusk Rd intersection

Flower Mound, TexasNov 27, 20110 Comments

The construction is finished on 1171 west of Lusk Rd, but the 40 mph construction speed limit signs remain. Every single time I’ve driven this part of 1171 in the last 2 months, there’s been a radar cop staking it out. Even when this stretch of road was just 2 lanes, the speed limit was 50 mph. 40 mph is just ludicrous on this now divided and widened road.

unit is on west side of 2499 catching red light runners at Firewheel going south on 2499 just before the sun comes up.
