Between 360 and Hwy 157 (Collins) has a traffic cop that has been known to right a ticket for going even 5 miles over the posted limit of 40mph. My husband received one for going 48 on the hill right by Upper Deck.

Highway Access Road near State Highway 35 West

Fort Worth, TexasSep 05, 20070 Comments

There is an access road in North Fort Worth at the NE corner of 35W and Loop 820 that has a posted speed limit of 40mph that should be at least 45-50mph.

There are nor residences, schools, businesses or other possible hazards on this road for at least 1.5 miles.

As this access road curves from the E-W direction to a true North direction, there is a slight rise and then there is a merge with exiting Highway traffic. There are also several resturaunts on the right at this point but Prior to this, there are no hazards for at least 1.5-2.0 miles.

The Fort Worth police department have set up shop just below the rise of this road just before the hwy merge sitting in the entrance to the parking lot of the Fossil Creek UA Cinema.

They sit there in enjoying the air conditioning in their brand new Dodge Challengers and when they clock somebody doing approx. 45mph or higher, they step out of the car and wave them over to the side of the road.

Sometimes the speed trap will be a little further south of this point with 2-3 motorcycle police doing the same thing as people come around the curve of this hwy access road heading North.

State Highway 287 North near 820 Loop

Fort Worth, TexasSep 01, 20070 Comments

287 North, past the 820 exit there is about a 10 mile stretch of highway that leads to downtown Fort Worth. Every day, M-F I see the trap set up. The posted speed limit is 60, which is fine but no one does it. I have been honked at for doing 80 on it and not moving out of the way. One cop sets up at the bottom of a steep hill and hits the cars with his radar as they top the hill. There are 2 more cops that then pull the speeders over about 2 miles past the first cop. I have seen this for the past 20 business days straight… and they always have a couple of cars pulled over
