I-30 at Cooks or Eastchase

Fort Worth, TexasNov 27, 20020 Comments

Common overpass technique. Two officers will radar from a top of the overpass (one targeting eastbound traffic the other westbound traffic) while motor jocks and cameros wait on the ramps. I have seen FWPD use this technique in several areas of FW, but most often at the Cooks Lane Exit. Targeting drivers entering and leaving Fort Worth.

SW Blvd or Highway 183 at Bryant Irvin Exit

Fort Worth, TexasNov 04, 20020 Comments

This is a 2 fold trap. 1) If you are exiting HWY 183 & going North on Bryant Irvin, there is a stop sign instead of a Yield Sign. You have a free merge lane in front of you so there is no reason to have even a yield sign. An Officer is usually sitting behind a dumpster in a nearby Parking Lot. It was reported on the news one day that the Fort Worth Police Dept. ticketed over 30 cars in one day. 2) They do frequently radar in this section of Bryant Irvin also. So if you don’t stop, they will get you speeding. We should call them the Fort Worth Tax Collectors.

I-30 East – West and East bound Lanes at Aprox. Exit 21C

The Fort Worth Police will park in the gap between the center median wall and radar both east bound and west bound traffic. Usually between 5:00am and 6:30am.

Officer is hiding in break in the center wall. He can catch you going east or west

Hwy 377(Denton Hwy) &Watauga Rd.(western center)

Fort Worth, TexasAug 10, 20020 Comments

heading west on Watauga Rd. (Western Center) from denton Hwy there is a hill going down and many cars pick up speed going down the hill. You can easily coast your way past the speed limit where a cop is usually sitting on the grass on the North side of the street eager to give you a citation for speeding. This may be construed as the city of Watauga but is easily on the borderline so I included it in Fort Worth.
