Grandview, Texas Speed Traps
Exit 16 – Southbound
This is a place they like to hide so you don’t see them until it’s too late. It’s the southbound entrance ramp at Exit 16. They sit back up on the ramp so once you pass them you would have to look back over your shoulder to see if they are there. I’ve been highway patrol there as well. I’ve also seen them sitting right at the bridge clocking you as you travel southbound towards exit 16. Beware!
Interstate 35 W near FM 916
The driver never sees the town of Grandview from the road, but local police can be frequently seen issueing tickets on the section within their jurisdiction. I recommend reducing speed to 65 when approaching this area.
Interstate 35W near FM 916
Grandview PD loves to work this part of I-35W during night time hours when it is harder to see their car in medium. They work traffic in both directions…more so on Northbound traffic since you are just starting a down hill run.
Interstate 35 near Mile Marker 15
Town is located where speed limit drops from 70 to 65. Local police patroling the interstate will give tickets for as little as 5 miles over the speedlimit. Police have also been known to pull over the wrong vehicle and ticket the wrong driver. Strong enforcement of the law requiring drivers to move to other lane or slow down to 20 if a patrol car has another vehicle stopped.
