Haltom City, Texas Speed Traps
Fincher Road Between Broadway and Laverda Drive
Motorcycle Jockies run radar during school zone hours regularly. They wait at the corner of Fincher and Laverda waiting for you to come down the hill (Southbound) and cross the creek. It is nearly impossible to make it down the hill without breaking the speed limit unless you ride your breaks.
State Highway 121
Two motorcycle cops sit on the entrance ramp from the East bound service rd east of Haltom Rd. You can’t see them because the entrance ramp is lower than the Hwy. I work in a building directly behind their hiding place and they have no trouble getting their revenue.
Glenview Road near State Highway 377
usually motorcycle police or on foot with radar/lasar on corner of side streets as you approach Hwy 377 on Gleview (going west) or as you are heading toward Rufe Snow on Glenview (going east).
Haltom Road near Fossil Drive
Haltom Road between N.E. 28th Street and Broadway is a big trap for one of the motorcycle officers in town. He will get you nearly every time just as you near Fossil.
He will stop you for going 2 miles over the 30 mph.
NE 28th Street near Beach Street
If you turn from any street on to NE 28th St after Beach Street going into Haltom City there are NO speed signs until you get all the way down to Belknap. The speed limit is 30. The only posted sign is right at Beach Street leaving Fort Worth going into Haltom City. I never knew because if I’m going towards Fort Worth, I go out Beach and it is 40 mph from Beach towards FW on NE 28th. If I’m going into Haltom City, I come up Eastridge and go into Haltom City and there are NO posted speed limits but it is 30 mph.
