Houston, Texas Speed Traps
FM 529(spencer rd.) and EldridgeRd, in CY-Fair
White Truck with White Houston Sheriff Lettering pulling people over daily in the day time in front of the new Liberty Tax Service.
Highway 249 between Gregson Rd and Chasewood Park Dr.
On Highway 249, south of Chasewood Park Dr. and north of Gregson Rd. the speed limit is 65mph. However, in the 3 miles stretch between those two roads, the speed limit is 60mph. This is left over from prior to the completion of the 249 tollway. At the time of completion, HCTRA and TXDOT were supposed to match the speed zones to 65mph all the way. However, TXDOT forgot to do this, and now Harris County Sheriffs are using it as an opportunity to capture unsuspecting drivers passing through it. TXDOT has admitted the problem and is working to change the signs, but HCSO is running 2-3 officers in the short stretch of highway.
Highway 6 (From Westhiemer to Westpark tollway)

I-45 Southbound Feeder past Cullen
Just over the hill on the feeder Southbound on I-45 after the Cullen intersection are HPD Traffic Enforcement officers using LIDAR and radar. I see them there almost every day. Sometimes the stealth black Camaro will be parked at the bottom of the hill running radar on feeder rd traffic while shooting highway traffic from behind with LIDAR. He will chase someone on the highway from the feeder road. These are some pretty aggressive tactics.
