Houston, Texas Speed Traps

Several Houston police cars wait at the car dealerships just south of Kingwood Drive on the 59 feeder. The reason that people speed is that there is no longer an entrance for 59 from the feeder road until you get almost to 1960 because of the construction. Also cars exiting from 59 are ticketed.

Inwood Pines area on Antoine — watch out! The cops pull their cruisers off on a side street and one hides behind a large tree with the radar gun. His associates casually stroll out into traffic and wave people off the road. I was ticketed for 40 in a 30 zone, along with several other cars near me that were going the same speed.

Sits between the medians.

Located southbound, about 1/4 mile before stop sign at Tree Lane. Note bare grass spot -from cop car heat- just behind shrubbery on right side.

Many HPD unmarked cars sitting in the emergency lanes on the other side of overpasses. Usually using Laser. Hard to detect even using a Radar/Laser detector.
