Jersey Village, Texas Speed Traps
290 and 529
be careful here, the speed limit drops from 50 to 45 in an instant and the cops like to hide, so before you can slow down, the cop has you.
290 inbound feeder between Eldridge and West Rd
Motorcycle cops park their bikes and walk the traffic lanes
and check for current registration, seat belts, and inspection. They will also
randomly pick a vehicle and direct them to pull over and do the insurance and license check. I call it the pig pen!!!! They have been there almost every morning.
North on Jones Rd. from U.S. Hwy. 290
As you drive northbound on Jones Rd. from U.S. Hwy. 290, police are popularly parked on the center median grass, normally in an SUV. On some days, they will also be parked further down Jones Rd. on the median – this officer is watching southbound traffic (West Rd. towards U.S. Hwy. 290).
In addition to running radar, they are also watching for windshield stickers and front license plates – yes, I’ve been ticketed for no front license plate and ticketed for not changing my address on my license (within 30 days).
They will ticket everything they can.
West Road near US Highway 290
West Rd. in front of the HOV parking lot and in between the median. Officers monitor west bound traffic and issue citations just inside the Jersey Village city limits. Careful here as well. JV traffic court is full of unsuspecting motorists.
Jones Road near State Route 290
Watch out for jones road. You will be ticketed for 38mph in a 35mph zone. It’s all about the money.
