Going North on 183A, between New Hope Rd. and Crystal Falls Pkwy. there is a small overpass crosses a creek. On the right a concrete wall blocks the drivers view and Leander PD sits behind the wall, off the road, and tag drivers as they zip by. The driver would never see the cop unless they look in their rear view mirror.

West South Street near US Highway 183

West South Street is between US Hwy 183 and Bagdad. It runs through the Westview Meadows subdivision. I live midway on the street and Leander PD is always on the street. The police station is just down the road and they use the street as a go-to for Bagdad Rd. You better stop at every stop sign and the speed limit is 30 mph, not one mile over. I must see a dozen cars pulled over in front of my house alone every week, and that’s when I home in the evenings and weekends.

Bagdad Road near Crystal Falls Parkway

On Bagdad road, headed towards FM 2243/Nameless rd, Leander Police take advantage of night conditions, and park about 1/4 mile after the Walgreens on the corner of Bagdad and Crystal Falls. These cops use VG2, and move regularly if they know they’ve been spotted radaring. Also, further up on Bagdad road, where there is currently road construction, Leander Police watch the 30mph speed limits very carefully.
