Little Elm, Texas Speed Traps
Walker Ln. and Waterside Dr. near Little Elm High School
In the morning and afternoons, the police officers will sit at the entrance to the Crossridge Church and radar people Entering the school zone. If you’re going any speed over 25 when going past the sign, they’ll get you.
Near Intersection of Sunflower and Sunnyside Drives
This trap is mostly set up to catch people speeding during school zone times.
Witt Road near FM 720
As you drive northbound on Witt approaching 720, there is a jog to the left, and then to the right, in front of the school. It is 30 MPH. I have seen officers sitting in the median prior to the school. I have also seen motorcycle unit hiding behind a road barricade and tree past the school when the road jogs back to the right. It is easy to go faster than 30 on the straightaways. Watch out!
Witt Road near Brent Elementary School
The officer sits in a driveway area in front of Brent Elementary School.
Hart Road near Ponderosa Street
As you turn the corner heading northbound on Hart road, there is an apparent school zone with no visible signage on the east side of the northbound lane. While headed east on Ponderosa, the morning sun blocks the view of the sign on the south side lane of Ponderosa. As Eldorado Pkwy traffic becomes more heavy during the morning rush hour, more residents from the lake side addition are choosing Hart road as an alternative route. Beware, as you will not be issued a warning but a speeding ticket.
