Turner Warnell on one side of this section is 35mph and on the other side is 40mph, but when they opened this new section of the road up they posted it at 30mph. The cops sit in the turnouts waiting to catch someone going the higher speeds. It is a divided road and most others in this area are posted at 40mph unless there is a school around then 35mph.
Calendar Road
Speed limit is 30. If you take this street, beware, police will "hide" approximately halfway down the road in a oil/gas drilling entrance. Or will park under 287 Highway and radar drivers up to a mile down the road.
FM 917
Heading west out of Mansfield police and also state troopers will sit in the median or in the parking lot of a convenience store looking for whatever they can find. There are no lights on this rural road making it easy for them to hide
Broad St. in front of E. Nash Elementary School
A motorcycle police officer sits in the south parking lot, across from E. Nash Elementary school most mornings, to catch people speeding through the school zone.
FM 157 South of Debbie Ln.
Officers usually wait in parking lots of Tractor Supply to catch traffic heading north towards Debbie Ln.
