Here’s a kicker to this intersection, If you are stopped at the light on 544 @ murphy going towards Wylie, there is a 35mph speed limit sign, However it’s not visible from the intersection because another sign blocks it and the cops sit withen 20 feet of the next speed limit sign that posts 45mph. This is a speed trap. If the city was really concerned about the traffic safety of this intersection they would make the speed limit sign visible!

A cop (sometimes on a motorbike) is parked at the intersection of Betsy Lane/Dublin Rd facing North. Watch the Stop sign at the intersection.

S. Murphy Rd. is zone at 40 MPH. Drivers going south on S. Murphy Rd. best keep their speed at what’s posted. Cops will obscure themselves by using the the Murphy Road Baptist Church sign. When the driver finally realizes that there’s a cop there, the cop has his light on and waiting for the drive to pass him, at which he fall in behind him. This is definitely a case of shooting fish in a barrel.

Sits in gas station parking lot for NW bound traffic. Posted limit before the trap is 40, Abruptly turns to 30 and back to 45. The slower speeds are on a 3 lane concrete Rd. The faster speeds are on a single lane potholed asphalt Road. Can you say speed trap. They give NO warnings and no slack. If you are doing 34 in a 30 you get a ticket for 34.

Officers are very active. They will not tolerate even 5 miles more than the speed limit. Be careful when you make turns right and left and use signals. I got a ticket cost 200.00 dollars and in I”m in real trouble now…”
