Pasadena, Texas Speed Traps
On Fairmont Pkwy west bound on north side of Fairmont motow
Two Motorcycle cops frequently hide at traffic light behind red brick sign on westbound north side of Fairmont Pkwy and entrance to small subdivision. Thye catch only westbound vehicles. I’ve been stopped there twice. Speed limit is 45, if you’re over 55 they tag you.
Southmore and Strawberry
If you’re headed down Southmore toward the Pasadena Town Square mall, at the corner of strawberry to your right immediately before the light the cops will sit there behind the bushes and then walk out into the street and tell you to pull into the parking lot. They do it mainly during the summer mid-day. They do it mostly for speeding and stickers/tags. Most of the time their car’s not close enough by that you can see it before you see the cop. So be careful.
Strawberry at a church between Vista and Spencer
They park at the church and flag you down when you pass. It is at a part of the road where the speed changes, literally, they are at the location of the sign.
Bay Area Blvd eastbound at Bay Area Park
Police hide behind telephone pole or bushes shooting laser radar at east bound traffic as soon as they pass Park Shadows Trail. Speed limit is 40 but changes to 50 just past the park. Police are there almost daily in nice weather and pull speeders into the park to issue the ticket.
Harris and Vivan
Police park on Vivan street and walk out and stop or go after speeding motorist on Harris. This is between Strawberry and Burke.
