Pasadena, Texas Speed Traps
Burke Rd southbound to Genoa-Red Bluff
Southbound on Burke Rd, South of Fairmont, the officers set up in the Verne Cox Center parking lot to shoot radar. Speed limit is 45.
Texas 8 Beltway between I-45 S & Hwy 225
Constables & DPS sit on both sides on Texas 8 Beltway coming from either direction all day every day & all night. Do not go faster than the 65 mph posted. You will get stopped if you are anywhere near 70 mph.
Bay Area Blvd. & Park Shadows Trail
A cop parks his car in the trees between the two roads as you are heading west on bay area and stands before his car and radars you. It’s hard to see him and the speed drops to forty just before you reach him. If he catches you there are cops at the intersection just west of him that stop you and issue the ticket.
Park Shadows Trail & Bay Area Blvd.
At least 2 Pasadena police cars, sometimes more, will be parked on Park Shadows Trail. They hide behind an oak tree in the median on Bay Area Blvd. and shoot a handheld radar gun. When they get you, they flag you over into Park Shadows for the others waiting there to ticket you. And yes I do mean they hide behind the oak tree in the median like they were deer hunting or something. Have had one cop step out in the road in front of me to flag the guy behind me in the other lane in. Have seen as many as four of them there at one time. Wonder who was protecting and serving the rest of Pasadena?
Hwy. 225 (Pasadena Fwy) & Bearle St
Pasadena loves to catch speeders on Hwy 225. I’ve seen them day & night across large stretches of 255 that’s within the Pasadena city limits. They use the lights out trick at night so you don’t see them as well.
