Between Beltway 8 and Pearland city limit

Pearland, TexasNov 17, 20020 Comments

I’ve noticed that when i travel home from work i usually hit the beltway at about 12am (midnight) and i can rest assured that at some point between the Beltway and the Pearland City limit side on the other side of town (heading south on 288) There will be at LEAST 1 Pearland officer

Seeing Pearland police on Hwy 288 and also on FM 2234. Running radar over hills, around curves, and just shooting at on-coming traffic as it passes–as people commute home from work. We all know, and so do they, that 55 mph is NOT real popular with Houston commuters. Average speed on 288 is about 70. We have some over zealous commuters that go over 80, but even I don’t endorse that. Traffic is quite heavy sometimes. Anyway, be on the lookout and either follow someone or drive slower. Your radar detector helps, but don’t depend on it entirely

State trooper sits there to catch speeders on the empty road. You need to be careful because several people claim to have gotten tickets that were unfounded. He claimed to clock people at a point they did not drive past and when they notified him that they did not cross that point he changed the location.
