Pflugerville, Texas Speed Traps

There are a couple of curves on Speidel shortly after turning north onto Speidel from Kelly Lane. They hide around these corners and get you when you come into view. I wondered why all of the residents drove so slow thru this neighborhood until I got my ticket. The cop added a 5 miles an hour above what my speedometer said I was doing. They never stay away for long and they may be there at any hour of the day or night and any day of the week.

The Pflugerville motorcycle cops love this intersection. They park their bikes on Betterman and then stand in the shade of the brushes of that corner house. The speed limit there is 35 but right before it becomes 45 – they will ticket you for anything over 35.

I don’t know exactly where they hide, but travelling north on Dessau Rd., AKA 685, right before getting to Pecan St. in Pflugerville, I have been pulled over twice in 5 years.

Cop sits in Lions Club parking lot. View obstructed by trees and curve. Speed limit sign, not displayed, by order of traffic study, but by local speed trap. No traffic survey, local judge doesn’t care. Speed sign hidden by tree, north of park. You lose.
