Port Arthur, Texas Speed Traps
9th Avenue near State Highway 73
The speed limit is 45 on all of 9th Avenue, until right before the Library @ 73. Then it drops to 30, only 1 small sign stating drop in limit. Almost always can find an officer passing out tickets there.
Hwy 69 just before 39th St.
one police car sits about fifty to one hundred feet from the road in the drainage district pumping station parking lot. As you come over the crest, he clocks you and radios to another car parked a the Conoco station and he pulls you over
Shortly after you leave I-10 on the 73 toward Port Auther, almost all the way to PortArther
I picked up Ka one direction and the return was K, never saw the return cop but he was there because there were no blips the whole trip. Noticed something strange when all of my fellow travelers slowed from 85-95 to 65-70, low and behold the section just off of I-10 on the way to Port Arther, was a State Trooper and he was making rounds with the unit on the whole time Ka. The return trip, I suspect it was an unmarked behind an 18-wheeler tailgate, he was using instant on K, and he knew how to use it.
