Prosper, Texas Speed Traps

Officers will wait in the parking lot of Builders First Source and check the speed of westbound traffic on Prosper Trail.

There are 3 new Overpasses on 380 beginning @ Preston and the last going over DNT. The speed goes from 60 to 50 just as 380 widens to 3 lanes, making it easier to get up speed. Prosper Police wait on the North side of 380 near the Uhaul store. There is no sign stating reduced speed ahead.

By CVS pharmacy, the police hide especially after 5 pm you can not see them as you come off the bridge or merge onto 289.

The last couple weeks a Collin County Sheriff Deputy has been sitting in the median (turn lane) facing west catching people crossing under Preston. The overpass obstructs your view of his location until you’ve passed it, and by then he has you.

Police will use fencing/landscaping at Brittany Way for cover as drivers westbound are coming down the hill here. Road has recently been expanded from 2 lane to 4 lane divided with a crossover in the median at this spot. By the time you see them, it’s already too late if you’re ESL.
