Richardson, Texas Speed Traps
I75 S at Campbell rd exit on Service rd.
There is construction taking place on the overpass for XXX and it’s very poorly marked. When you get off the highway there is a neon orange sign stating 50mph. Then there is orange neon signs all over stating it’s a construction zone. So you look for neon signs right… not so easy. The speed limit sign is white marked as 35 on another pole. It is barely noticed against the daytime background. All the other signs are bright neon orange. I sat in a parking lot nearby and the police officer who tickets there only has to setup for less than 5 seconds and he’s pulling out to get another one. It’s funny that 95% of the people who come through there are going by the neon 50mph sign. I don’t believe that nearly everyone driving here intentionally is speeding. It’s just marked poorly and due to being construction zone you cannot take defensive driving or deferred judgement. If the intention is to protect the construction workers as it should, mark it well enough to be noticed so that many people aren’t speeding!!!
Beltline and Dorothy East Bound
Police frequently are on the east side of the church using radar. They target east bound traffic.
E I-90 off-ramp/service Rd. between N Plano and N Jupiter
Blue challenger cop sitting in parking lot entrance on top of hill hitting off-ramp and service road drivers between North Plano Road and North Jupiter road for eastbound I-90 off-ramp. Speed limit on service road is 50MPH on Richardson side and 55MPH on Plano side. HMMMM interesting! Off-ramp drivers are forced to go from 70mph to 50mph coming DOWNHILL and frontage road drivers are forced to speed ABOVE 50mph to get over to far left lane in front of off-ramp drivers. KNOWN SPEED TRAP AREA. SPEED LIMIT IS TOO LOW FOR TRAFFIC!
