2nd Street near State Highway 90

Once you turn from the intersection of Highway 90 where the speed limit is 40mph onto 2nd Street going North, there are no speed limit signs posted until after you pass a firestation on the R, go over RR tracks and a church/parking lot on the L. Go another 1.5 blocks, there’s a sign that says 20mph, but no other warning signs of the upcoming speed reduction. It’s very convenient for city police to sit in the church parking lot & chase after you for doing 30-some mph while you are trying to slow down. I received a citation for driving 36mph before I even approached the 20mph sign. I went back 6 days later, about the same time of day to take photos for court & sure enough there was another city police car pulling over some other driver.
