US Highway 377 near US Highway 114
If you are traveling south from Denton, Tx on 377 (aka Old Denton Highway)…as soon as you see a 50 mph caution sign and the city sign of Roanoke Texas…you better tap the brakes, (from 60mph to 50mph).
Officer’s sit in the middle of he highway, (in a yellow-lined, no parking area…thereby making a traffic hazard…) in front of a Wal-Mart as you crest the hill in AM Rush hour. This occurs just south of a 4 way stop, large bridge, merging highways, with traffic lights, before the Hwy. 377 to Hwy., and Business Hwy 114 interchange.

Parked over a hill on the right side, west bound 114 just passed hwy 377. I travel this hwy 114 everyday, this is a true statement and i`m sick of these actions by the Roanoke police.

Westbound on Hwy114 where Hwy 114 and Alliance Gateway Fwy split, Hwy 114 veers to the northwest for a stretch over a hill. The Roanoke police are waiting on the right shoulder on the other side of the hill. This just east of Texas Motor Speedway. Typical small town traffic ticket court set up try to maximize revenue from traffic tickets.

This road is a four lane highway. The speed is only 55 m.p.h. The police will sit on the shoulder, dirt roads off to the sides, and at intersections. Be on the look out they use motorcycles to.
