San Antonio, Texas Speed Traps
Stone Oak Parkway & Evans Road
2 Bexar County Constables (not honorable police officers) on Evans & Stone Oak Parkway. One Crown Victoria colored blue and one Dodge Charger colored white with EXTREMELY subtle markings. Crown Vic sitting on SOP up towards Hardy Oak on the first U-turn from the intersection, and the Dodge Charger sitting in the empty CVS Pharmacy parking lot. Picking cars off like crazy.
I don’t want my neighborhood to turn into Shavano Park. This is unacceptable.
35n bound access rd. between somerset rd. and zarzamora
As you approach bend in the road, both a marked and an unmark car take turns speed limit is 45 most drivers go 50 and up, Just under the new skywalk bridge they wait.
Evans Rd. halfway between Bulverde & TPC Parkway
This Bexar Co. Constable hides in that deep trough of Evans halfway between Bulverde & TPC Parkway, all the way on the bottom, where people who are not braking but driving normally would be going higher than the speed limit at the time.
A normal person driving would accelerate thanks to gravity in an attempt to save gas & brake pads, and then immediately slow down back to the speed limit as they get out of the trough. It is not dangerous to go faster than the speed limit here, since it is controlled by gravity, not the gas pedal, and this cop is taking advantage of it.
Always be on the lookout, people!
O’Connor Road near Stahl Rd
Police, constables, and NE ISD police will set up either off the side of the road or in the middle turn lane. Be careful it is a school zone and a construction zone. There are no flashing lights going north bound. While on O’Connor Road the speed limit changes from 40MPH to 20MPH almost immediately after you go through the light. Officers will get you going through the light and before you can get down to 20, you have been had!!!! $355 fine while in school zone, fines are double in a construction zone if workers are present.
Exit off 1604 to UTSA
There are people constantly pulled over, especially in the mornings!! The thing is that motorists don’t notice the 40 mph when exiting 1604.
