Timpson, Texas Speed Traps

Black Chevy Tahoe sits on North end of town in a private driveway. I was issued a citation for going 63 in a 55! I will never travel thru this town EVER again.

Very small town! I drive a semi for a living and was issued a ticket for 48 in a 50! Officer was setting right at the 40 sign! hardly any time to slow down. The Texas Highway Patrol and the Local PD work it hard. While i was stopped the Trooper had already stopped 2 other cars.

Watch this place! I received a citation here. After research I notice where the city council of this town is threatening to cut officers if they do not make a profit! Drive slow as you can! They are desperate!

Very young officer sits just north of the railroad bridge. Speeding limit is 50!! Slow down, he is very friendly but he don’t play about speed! The court is not friendly at all!

There is a 75mph sign less than a mile before the 60mph sign and no reduce speed or speed zone signs. The police sit right at the sign. This is speed trap that ignores the TX-DOT recommendations for safe speed zone reduction (such as placement of reduce velocity or speed zone signs) but does not break them because it is worded municipality “may” implement rather than shall… It is not only a speed trap but without signs warning of reduced speeds ahead, it is a traffic hazard because you go from country to town rather quickly. Be careful.
