Tyler, Texas Speed Traps

This is the hill on Shiloh east of Paluxy. By the time you reach the bottom of the hill going either way, most drivers are doing more than the 40mph limit. There’s usually a motorcycle cop parked on Inverness, far enough back that you don’t see him until you’re almost to Inverness.

The road makes a sharp turn there and they are waiting. It is a perfect speed trap. My Escort X-50 did not alert me until the very last second.

This trap covers Broadway Ave. (Hwy 69). Every night, especially Thursday-Sunday, the area of Broadway going from Bergfeld Park all the way out to the community of Gresham is patrolled. The area between Broadway Square Mall and the Wal-Mart Supercenter are especially targeted. Beware!

This particular trap is right in the vicinity of where Old Omen Rd. meets Loop 323. Often around noon, there is a cop parked in the turning lane clocking people. Beware!

Patrol car sits well off the highway in the church parking lot. The speed limit drops from 60 to 55 right at the churches parking lot heading north.
