Tin Top Rd, south of I-20
Tin Top Rd, going South from the Weatherford city limits, is 40mph, until you get near the Brazos River, where it jumps to 55mph. Tin Top Rd is a good, fairly straight road, and No One runs down it at 40 mph (except me, on cruise). Unfortunately for speeders on Tin Top Rd, at least 2 Highway Patrol Troopers are on Tin Top Rd, so they are constantly “patroling” that road. Although “ticket quotas” are illegal in Texas, I am sure the Troopers’ Sgt. “suggests” a minimum # of tickets per Trooper, per week. For the Troopers running up and down Tin Top Rd, this presents no problem, since ” it’s like shooting fish in a barrel”.

Officers stand at the intersection of Park and Texas with the laser gun and will pull you over if you are speeding.
State Highway 20 near Brock Junction to Weatherford
DOT sits all along this area using radars. Target cars and 18 wheelers coming in from the West of Texas anytime of the day or night. It’s a sure ticket if your going over 70 mph.
Interstate 20 near Mile Marker 418
Unmarked and hidden SPEED cops with a chip. Starting at mile marker 420 to mile 400 there are three cities and a Texas Department of Public safety training station. Between Mile 420 and 409 there are two small towns that run speed traps 24/7 they have about 5 miles each and have 4 to 6 cars on that section almost all the time. Parker county is in the top five if not NUMBER ONE in tickets and DUIs in the state……
