State Highway 276 near Waterline Road
On weekend nights all traffic laws are very strictly enforced on Hwy 276 through West Tawakoni. In addition to the local police, it is very heavily patroled by Texas State Troopers. It is common to see 3 State Trooper patrol vehicles parked with a lights out in the breakdown lane or in parking lots; that is, if they are giving out tickets. Rumor has it that this area is DWI/DUI training area for the Troopers.
