Parrish Lane

Centerville, UtahMar 03, 20080 Comments

I have seen the Centerville Police hanging out on Parrish lane west of I-15 by 1250 west which is the industrial park. 1250 west runs north to south and into West Bountiful. There is a K9 officer that hangs out here and nails them with what looks like a laser as they are going north on 1250 west towards Parrish Lane. The road seems like it is wide and easy to go fast like 50 or so, but watch out. The entire force watches this area like a hawk and can get you from a long ways away before you know it you have been had. I have seen them parked just north of Parrish lane on 1250 west, west of 1250 west on parrish lane watching for stop sign violators and even taking advantage of the current construction zone just east of 1250 west on Parrish lane. They hide out between the construction equipment and then nail ya. Watch out here.

North Main Street near Farmington City Limit

Centerville, UtahAug 03, 20060 Comments

There is a slight bend in the road as Main Street passes an LDS church at 2100 North, just before the Farmington city line. Trees obstruct your view down the road until it’s too late. A particular Centerville officer likes to tuck himself into the weeds on the east side of the road and nick drivers as they come down the hill. The speed limit is 40mph, but traffic often moves faster. He caught me going too fast on a Saturday evening, and I have seen him there 3 more times during the week.

400 west Street near Home Depot, Super Target, a church parking lot

Centerville, UtahFeb 01, 20050 Comments

The entire street is a big speed trap. The most common lurking spot is in a parking lot of an LDS chapel. If you are traveling south and pass behind a Home Depot, keep it at about 30, there are cruisers waiting behind the fence. The street is pretty wide and so one feels the impulse to go faster, resist it. The speed limit is 25 for most of the street and is strictly enforced.
