Cottonwood Heights, Utah Speed Traps
Danish Rd
South end of Danish Rd where the road narrows and turns East.
2660 E Creek Road at the bottom of the hill
The Cottonwood Heights cops sit at the bottom of the very steep hill on Creek Road and hand out tickets. The hill on Creek Road is very steep. Going west (down the hill), it is necessary to ride the brakes all the way down the hill to keep the speed down to the 30 mph limit. It’s very easy to creep over the speed limit and get caught.
I-215 at 2000 E. overpass and 2300 E. overpass
Both locations have bends in the freeway right before the overpass. Cops will sit under these overpasses and catch you coming around the bend as you have limited time to see their trap.
Multiple locations on Bengal Blvd (7800 South)
Police officers often park in church parking lots on the north side of Bengal Blvd. and tag drivers headed west down the hill.
Gravel Pit – between Mouth of Big and Wasatch
This is the honey hole for Cottonwood Heights police. People leaving the Mouth of Big Cottonwood headed for I-215 get Nailed every night as they go past the gravel pit. One or two cops are always there. Money in the bank.
